History
PC Fitness, Inc. originated from a garage in Bigfork in 1999. The original owner, Phillip McFee, took the business from the garage to a retail storefront within several months. Dan Lee started working with Phil in the fall of 2001. Approximately 2 1/2 years later, Phil offered to sell the business to Dan. Within several months, Dan and business partner Troy Waller took over ownership of the business. We operated out of Bigfork performing software and hardware upgrades, new systems integration, minor networking for home and small business needs, custom computer building and tech support for both residential and local area businesses.
Expansion
In 2006, we decided to expand our business into Kalispell and met with Stacey Gutierez, owner of Professional Business Systems, Inc. In August of 2006, we purchased PBS, a company with a 17-year history in the Flathead Valley. Since purchasing PBS, we have added HP Partner and Printer ASC certifications, OkiData Partner and Service Authorizations, and Brother Printer Service Authorizations, to our list of provided services.
Services
PC Fitness continues to evolve and is focused on becoming the main outsourced IT department for many local businesses that would otherwise not have on-demand IT support or the budget to maintain a full time IT person or department. We offer business network administration, custom built computers, networking support, phone support, in-shop support, on-site support, remote support and training. We also provide installation and configuration support for Windows Server 2003, Small Business Server, Windows Server 2000, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows 98. Most recently, we have added full Exchange Server support for small business wanting to host their own email.
Experience
One of the strongest areas of our support is extensive troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of Windows-based computers. We specialize in operating system optimization without having to fully uninstall and reinstall Windows and all associated programs. We have experience with administering small office networks with up to 30 users in both environments using a Domain Controller or simple peer to peer networks. We utilize all aspects of wireless networks and have successfully integrated wireless networks across broad campuses. We have HP, Oki Data and Brother Printer Repair & Service Qualified staff. Our computers are custom built in shop from the ground up using the industry’s top quality rated components. We build top of the line gaming machines, basic internet surfers and small business workstations.
